Transgender Visibility Day

International Transgender Day of Visibility Day occurs every March 31 since 2009 to celebrate transgender people, raise awareness of the discrimination faced by transgender people, and mourn the ones the community has lost due to this discrimination. Originally started to combat the Transgender Day of Remembrance being the only transgender-centered day, March 31 has evolved into a day of stories and celebrations, in the hope that this visibility enables trans people to experience less social isolation.
