National Cancer Prevention Month

Cancer is said to be the world's leading cause of death and one of the longest existences afflictions, being traced back to Ancient Egyptian remains from 1500 B.C. Resulting from changes in D.N.A., abnormal cells become uncontrollable in part of the body and invade other tissues, causing cancer. There are more than 100 types of cancer; lung, breast, colon, skin, stomach, and prostate are the most common, according to the World Health Organization. No overall cure has been discovered yet, but with new technologies and revolutionary drugs that can halt the growth of tumors being made available as of 2020, we are on the path to success.

Held every February, National Cancer Prevention Month raises awareness about cancer and spreads awareness about the importance of early detection. You can help observe National Cancer Prevention Month by donating to boost research, spreading prevention tips with others, and embracing healthy living for yourself and others.
