Personal Librarian Program

Learn more about who we are and how we can help you on your academic journey!

Personal Librarian Overview

Taylor Memorial Library's Personal Librarian Program affords all students the opportunity to connect with a librarian for the duration of their higher education career. Whether you are a newly accepted student, or an adult learner returning for an advanced degree years after completing your undergraduate degree - or somewhere in between - we are ready to assist you through your academic journey.

Your personal librarian is determined based on the first letter of your last name.
If your last name begins with ____, your Personal Librarian is ____:

A to I - Amy Hayes

J to S - Nick Ferrelli

T to Z - Susan Van Alstyne

What can a Personal Librarian do for you?

Your Personal Librarian can help you with the following:

  • Navigating campus resources including physical and electronic materials.
  • Best practices for success in including scholarly research in your research assignments.
  • Assistance with citations and reference/works cited pages.
  • Finding material which the library does not provide direct access.
  • We can meet you in person or online!
  • Assist you with systematic reviews of your published research.

Librarians also work closely with other academic departments on campus. If you have a question outside of the realm of libraries we can direct you to the right person!
