Library Policies


This Collection Development Policy states the principles and guidelines Taylor Memorial Library uses to select and acquire library materials. The policy has been created to provide consistency among those responsible for developing the collection and for communicating this policy to the campus community. It is understood that as the programs and information needs of the University change, the standing University committees and Academic Council consensus may alter the Collection Development Policy. The University Archive serves as the institutional repository for the papers and objects which document the history of the Centenary University from its founding to the present. The purpose of the Archive is to collect, preserve, organize, and make available such materials for use by current students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the surrounding community. Students may borrow books for a period of up to 100 days or the end of the semester, whichever comes first. Students may borrow DVDs for a period of up to 30 days or the end of the semester, whichever comes first. Borrowers will receive an email from the library two days before an item is due.
