Past Displays - Books: National Park and Recreation Month

Since 1985, July has been designated National Park and Recreation Month to recognize the importance of parks and how we use them. There are more than 160,000 full-time park and recreation professionals--along with hundreds of part-time and seasonal workers and volunteers--who maintain the United State's local, state, and community parks. This month is dedicated to celebrating them.
