Storytime with Superheroes

11:00am-12:00pm in Library

Fun for the little ones! Listen to stories, sing songs, and complete superhero crafts with Centenary's superhero educators.

Custom Draping for Fashion Design & Cosplay

11:00am-2:00pm in Trevorrow Hall

Join fashion designer Pamela Ptak for a demonstration workshop on the art of fashion draping. Working in muslin on a dressform, Pamela will drape a custom design with special details, true it in and assemble the pieces to create a finished test pattern.
Drawing from her background in NYC, working on collections for NY Fashion Week & the Paris Haute Couture, Pamela will share stories to inspire you.
This workshop will offer new insights to fashion designers and assist cosplayers in developing skills that will improve their costume work.
Please bring a notebook and pencils to this workshop for interactive exercises.

Think YOU Can Be a Voice Actor?

"Ever wonder what Kazuhiko Nukumizu would sound like as a constipated Kermit the Frog? Well, let's find out! Join Voice Actor & Coach Chris Dattoli & let's practice your voiceover skills as we read through several scripts, record them in an actual portable recording booth, & give them a funny voice! We’re also going to talk about some important Voice Acting info like how to market yourself, what you need to know to run a voiceover business, where to find work, how to get agents, how to find discounted recording equipment, & what to charge for voice acting! All participants will get their recordings after the workshop!"

Super Smash Bros Tournament

12:00-2:00pm in Seay Hall

Calling all gamers! Registration is open for CycloneCon's 2nd Annual Super Smash Bros Tournament! It will be a double elimination style tournament, with a loser's bracket for players to make a comeback. Check-in time is 11:30am.

Kids Activities

12:00-6:00pm in Library

Hey kids, are you as strong as the Hulk? Pop in the library throughout the day for games, puzzles, crafts, and fun superhero activities.

Drawing Workshop

12:30-1:30pm in Littell Hall

In this workshop, Michael Kraiger, from the Kubert School, will guide you in the process of working from a script and understanding the anatomy of a comic book page. No supplies needed.

Stage Combat Workshop

1:30-2:30pm in Littell Hall

Come develop the tools you need to make a stage fight look realistic. Learning how to achieve realistic (but fake) pushes, hair pulls, chokes, slaps and punches. All are explored in this educational workshop, with special attention always focusing on safety. Students (young and old) should come dressed to move.

Yarn Spinning Demo

1:30-2:15pm in Littell Hall

Before the cosplays and outfits come the raw materials. In this demonstration, learn about the process of spinning wool into yarn. Help pick out colors and see how to spin and ply it into a basic 2-ply twist and a chain ply on a spinning wheel. If you come see the demo, you will have a chance to win whatever yarn is spun up over the course of the demo.

Theatrical Makeup Workshop

2:45-3:45pm in Littell Hall

In this classroom demonstration style program, students will learn a range of application techniques for trauma simulation leading toward zombie application, old age, and animal techniques (subject matter will be determined by time and group interest). Students should notify the instructor if they have a bee allergy.

Kids Drawing Workshop

3:00-4:00pm in Littell Hall

Kids 8ish and up - join Kubert School instructor Michael Kraiger in a drawing workshop where you will develop simple shapes into figures and objects. No supplies needed.

Five Night’s At Freddy’s Jeopardy

2:45-3:45pm in Littell Hall

Welcome to your first day on the job playing Five Night's at Freddy's Jeopardy! The animatronics tend to get a bit quirky at night, so you'll have to answer a few questions relating to the FNAF games in order to leave. And don’t worry, this year we have an entire new game of questions to keep you busy! Do you have what it takes to win the game & escape the animatronics? Oh, there's also a pizza for you in the break room. Good luck!
