SCOTT HANNA - GRAPHIC NOVEL ARTIST     

An Eisner award-winning artist in the graphic novel industry, Scott Hanna has been drawing and inking comic books for over 35 years. His work has been published in over 1,000 comics and graphic novels, and he’s inked over 24,000 pages of comics art. He has inked more pages for Marvel and DC than anyone in the history of comics.

At Marvel Comics, Scott’s worked on all the top characters at the company, known for working on most of the Spider-Man titles over the past 30 years, sometimes working on multiple Spider-Man titles at the same time. He is currently on Amazing Spider-Man, starting with the new #1 in 2022. Scott has also had runs on Ultimate Spider-Man, the Avengers, IronMan, the X-Men, the Hulk, and many more.

At DC comics, he has worked on most of their major titles, including a five-year run on Detective Comics starring Batman, Green Lantern Corps, Wonder Woman, Justice League, Superman, and Teen Titans. In 2022, his new Milestone series DUO premiered.

He is cofounder of the Arts and Fashion Institute in PA with his wife Pamela Ptak. Scott teaches classes in sequential art, painting, drawing and cartooning.

Scott is co-creator, co-writer, and artist on the current newspaper strip “Dodge & Hustle,” appearing in the newspaper published by “A Kid and a Comic.”

PAMELA PTAK - FASHION DESIGNER, INSTRUCTOR

Pamela Ptak is a fashion designer from Lifetime TV’s “Project Runway” season 7.  During Pamela’s casting, Tim Gunn called her work “...among the most beautifully constructed clothes I’ve ever seen” and said “I think you are on the cusp of something big.”  Pamela appeared on the NFL Network’s “Top 10 Uniforms”, HGTV’s DIY network, ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition”, AMC’s “Comic Book Men” and she’s a repeat guest on the news at WFMZ-TV.  

Pamela Ptak and Scott Hanna founded the “Arts and Fashion Institute™” in Upper Bucks County PA offering rare specializations in art & fashion. Pamela teaches fashion design, illustration and sewing. She teaches advanced skills she acquired working 11 seasons freelance sewing & embellishing on the Paris Haute Couture and NY Ready-to-Wear collections for Chado Ralph Rucci. Pamela designs one-of-a-kind garments & costumes for private clients and cosplayers.

Pamela Ptak’s garments were featured on the cover & interior of 3 couture issues of Stitches magazine as well as in national magazines: Us, Marie Claire, SOCO & Threads.  She had a solo exhibit: "Line, Texture, Fold: The Art of Pamela Ptak”, an illustrations exhibit: Le Musée des Arts Asiatiques in Nice, France, & the Puck Gallery in NYC. Pamela did the celebrity red carpet interviews for Princeton Television and makes fashion design & sewing videos for her youtube channel.

TOM RANEY - PROFESSIONAL COMIC BOOK ARTIST     

Tom Raney is an accomplished comic book artist who has worked with every major comic book publisher.

Over the course of 2+ decades in the comic book world, Tom has worked on iconic titles like The X-Men, Batman, Avengers Academy, Star Wars, Dread Gods, and many more. He relaunched Outsiders and Stormwatch, and is a co-creator of Mutant X and Threshold.

DARREN AUCK - CARTOONIST, ILLUSTRATOR, ART DIRECTOR and MONSTER MAKER     

Darren has always loved comics, cartoons and other pop culture.  He started creating comics at five years old and self published comics in high school.  After graduating from The Joe Kubert School in 1983, he did a range of professional work including writing and drawing comics, production, graphic design and caricature.  Darren worked for Marvel Comic for ten years serving as a Bullpen letterer, logo artist, writer, artist and Art Director.

Joe invited him to teach at The Joe Kubert School in 2000 and he instructed there for nineteen years.

Other clients include, Nickelodeon (Ren & Stimpy and Rocko’s Modern Life comics), DC Comics, the rock band AC/DC and various trading card companies.  Darren is currently working on creator owned projects, THE UNKNOWN, JERSEY DEVIL VS BIGFOOT and private art commissions.
