Finding Literature Review Articles in Library Databases

ERIC via EBSCO

  • Limit your search results to literature review articles - on the Advanced Search screen, look for the Document Type field, and select "Information Analyses."

PsycINFO (ProQuest)

  • Limit your search results to literature reviews - on the Advanced Search screen, look for the Methodology Type field. Select "Literature Review."
  • PsycINFO does not contain full text - though it will link you to full text articles in PsycARTICLES and other databases. If the article is not available, submit an Interlibrary Loan request, and we will try to get a copy for you.

Education Database (ProQuest)

  • Limit your search results to literature review articles - on the Advanced Search screen, look for the Document Type field, and select "Literature Review."

Google Scholar

  • Enter your search terms and run the search. On your results screen, look at the left column, and under the Any Type heading, click on "Review articles."
