Technology & Printing: Overview

PRINT

Printing is available 24/7 via the "CENT_Print-Anywhere" Printer!
*The printers are located in the outer vestibule, and are accessible even when the library is closed.

Documents can be sent to the printer from any computer or device on campus with PaperCut Print Software installed. Be sure to set your preference for black-and-white or color printing.

You can print to campus printers from Chromebooks, tablets, and smartphones, in addition to personal computers or laptops. To set up printing capabilities on your personal device(s), make sure that you are signed onto a Centenary network using your username and password. (Guest Wi-Fi will not work). Then find the appropriate instructions below.

You have 2 hours from the time you print a document to release it from the print queue. After that, the print job disappears.

In the library vestibule, choose the appropriate printer - there is one designated for black-and-white printing, and one for color printing. Release your prints by swiping your Centenary ID card through the card swipe reader attached to the printer. This will prompt the machine to show your list of print jobs on the touch screen. You can 'Print All', or select which jobs to print. If you do not have your ID card, ask the library staff to release your print jobs for you.

LAPTOPS FOR LOAN

Laptops are available to borrow for a short-term loan. Laptops are due at closing time on the day borrowed. If you need one for a longer period, speak to the library staff, and we will try to work it out. There is no fee to borrow a laptop, but the late return of a laptop may incur a fine.
Note* - A few laptops with SPSS statistical software are available. Two of the laptops have Audacity audio editing and recording software.
